The customer required emergency flood restoration services after a nearby river overflowed, causing approximately two feet of water to inundate the property. The floodwaters entered multiple structures (Main Building, Middle Building, and Left Building), saturating wood framing, insulation, cabinetry, and floor joists. The intrusion also posed a risk of microbial growth and required the salvage of various personal contents.
Our team executed a multi-structure restoration project, beginning with Emergency Mitigation & Demolition that involved removing saturated drywall, wet insulation, shower units, window/door trims, floor paneling, and kitchen cabinetry. They managed Environmental Control & Drying by using alternate power for 12 air movers, industrial dehumidifiers, space heaters for a strict drying chamber, and water-out units and desiccants in crawlspaces. Specialised Decontamination included HEPA vacuuming, bio-washing with antimicrobial solutions, and all-purpose degreasers. Remediation & Finalisation involved sanding areas with suspected microbial growth, treating framing with MMR (Mold Stain Remover), installing 6-mil plastic vapor barriers, and daily moisture monitoring until industry dry standards were met.
