The customer requested a professional inspection and second opinion following a sewage backup from a basement toilet. the overflow caused significant water damage and contamination across the bathroom and adjacent living areas, affecting the flooring, walls, and cabinetry.
Our team implemented a comprehensive water damage restoration and microbial mitigation plan, beginning with the strategic demolition of contaminated materials, including the removal of the toilet, vanity, and vinyl flooring. We performed professional flood cuts to extract saturated drywall, wood paneling, and insulation from both the bathroom and living areas. To ensure safety following the sewage exposure, we meticulously cleaned the subfloor and treated all exposed wall framing with an industrial-grade antimicrobial spray to inhibit mould growth. Our team then managed the structural drying process by deploying high-capacity air movers and dehumidifiers, monitoring moisture levels daily until all structural components met industry dry standards. Finally, we verified the complete elimination of moisture, decommissioned the equipment, and coordinated with the homeowner to prepare for the reconstruction phase.
