The customer, Jared Wortham, contacted us after noticing floorboards separating in his bedroom entry and discovering moisture beneath the flooring. A subsequent inspection of the crawlspace revealed significant puddling, which was traced to a leaking water line that was actively spraying and saturating the insulation and structural subfloor.
Our emergency response team immediately shut off the water main to stop the leak and performed a comprehensive moisture map and DocuSketch for documentation. We executed a thorough crawlspace mitigation by removing all saturated insulation and implementing a multi-stage mold remediation process, which included HEPA vacuuming, sanding affected timber, and applying Decon 30 and "On & Gone" for professional stain and microbial removal. In the living room and bedroom entry, we removed the damaged flooring and barrier. Upon discovering visible microbial growth on the underlayment, we treated the structural subfloor with the same professional-grade remediation protocol. We then installed high-velocity drying equipment in both the crawlspace and living areas to stabilize moisture levels and protect the home's structural integrity.
